Yafra Engineering Solutions Plc, formerly established as Muse Alemseged G.C, was founded in 2009 E.C. in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It is one of the fastest-growing companies in Ethiopia’s shoring and pile foundation industry. Founded by Muse Alemseged, a civil engineer with deep expertise in geotechnical solutions, the company is built on the core values of Excellence, Innovation, and Integrity.
Since its inception, Yafra has successfully completed over 150 projects, supported by a team of highly skilled professionals trained to deliver with efficiency, precision, and a client-focused approach. Its client-based management system has helped earn Yafra a strong and reputable name in the construction industry.
Yafra is committed to introducing new and effective technologies to Ethiopia’s construction sector. While currently focused on shoring, micro piling, and deep foundation works, the company is preparing to expand into foundation stabilization and dam grouting services.
At Yafra, we don’t just build foundations — we build trust, safety, and lasting impact in every project we deliver.

Shoring piles are vertical structural elements driven into the ground to provide lateral support and stability to excavation sites, preventing soil movement or collapse. They are commonly used in construction projects to support foundations, walls, or adjacent structures during deep excavations.
Soil nailing is a ground stabilization technique where steel reinforcement bars (nails) are inserted into the soil and grouted in place to improve its strength and prevent movement. It is commonly used for stabilizing slopes, retaining walls, and excavation faces to control soil erosion and enhance structural integrity.
Micro piles are small-diameter, high-strength piles used for foundation support in areas with limited access or challenging soil conditions. Typically consisting of steel reinforcement encased in grout, they provide load-bearing capacity in confined spaces, making them ideal for retrofitting existing structures or working in areas with low headroom.
Slope stability refers to the ability of a slope or hillside to resist failure or sliding under the influence of external forces such as gravity, water, or seismic activity. Ensuring slope stability involves analyzing soil properties, groundwater conditions, and the slope's geometry, and may require engineering solutions such as drainage systems, soil nailing, retaining walls, or geotechnical reinforcements to prevent landslides or erosion.
Ground anchors are specialized devices used to provide additional support and stability to structures by transferring loads from the surface to deeper, more stable layers of soil or rock. They consist of steel tendons or rods that are drilled into the ground and tensioned, often grouted in place, to resist forces such as soil movement, sliding, or uplift, and are commonly used in retaining walls, slopes, and excavation shoring.
Grouting is the process of injecting a fluid mixture, typically made of cement, water, and sometimes additives, into voids, cracks, or soil to improve its stability, strength, or sealing properties. It is commonly used in foundation repairs, tunnel construction, and soil stabilization, as well as in applications like waterproofing and controlling water flow in structures.
